FINISHES FOR YOUR FLOORS & WALLS! (MONOCHROME)

Colourful abstract, or simple monochrome?

I found some amazing finishes for floors & walls (and the designers of them!) the other day, some of them are colourful and abstract and the other ones are monochrome and simple!

Let's start with monochrome:

These marble tiles are by Greg Natale (Sydney Interior Designer)

"Embracing a passion for geometric pattern, Greg Natale presents seven striking marble mosaic designs inspired by some of the greats of Italian Design and Architecture. Names that have revolutionised the way we look at and engage with the space around us."

This is actually a close up of a building; Eye Film Institute by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects, in Amsterdam - Netherlands.

"The building is conceived as a highly tense and dynamic geometric solid.
The light is reflected in multiple ways by smooth, crystalline surfaces, thus subjecting
the building’s appearance to permanent optical changes during
the course of the day. Movement and light manifest themselves clearly as essential parameters for the film as a medium in the architectural production."

How amazing would that look as a floor/wall finish!

Mosaic from http://www.mosaiquesurface.com/en/about/

"The individual stone pieces in a square foot varies from a quarter inch to twelve inches per side, which allows for increased flexibility in creating small or large room installations. Complete waterjet fields are certainly very popular, they can also be easily and attractively combined with standard mosaic layout to create more intricate patterns in artistic murals and rugs."

Mosaic by Walker Zanger

It was quite hard to find a lot of information about some of these surfaces, I also have some that I couldn't find the designer of;

If you know the designers of these surfaces, please let me know in the comments!
I'm gonna finish this post here and I'll talk about the colourful and abstract stuff in the next post!
